Bohdan Kolesnyk was born in Kryvyi Rih and graduated from the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Theatre University. After the invasion of Russia, he joined the terrorist defence and then went to the front line.

Kolesnyk played in such TV series as Supercops, Opera on Call, Stomp, Maestro and Leave Without a Call. He also worked at the Theatre of Personality and the Ukrainian Contemporary Theatre. 

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
