He served his military service in the military orchestra of the honour guard at the presidential regiment. He was a member of the cover bands Frisson Band, Smerichka, and a trembita player in the folk rock band Coralli. From time to time, he worked as a snowboard instructor at the Bukovel ski resort.

After the full-scale invasion, he took part in battles in the Kharkiv region, near Izyum and Kupyansk. Then he was transferred to the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade "Magura". 

After training in Germany, he performed missions on a Bradley fighting vehicle and was a platoon sergeant major.

Andriy is originally from Ivano-Frankivsk. In 2001, he joined the Plast scouting organisation with his younger brother Orest and older brother Vitaliy.

He was a newcomer to the Beavers troop from the Forest Mischief nest. Later, he became a member of the Salamanders group of the 79th V. Lypynskyi hut.
