One of the largest and most famous hotels in Kharkiv - Kharkiv Palace has been subjected to Russian rocket fire. As a result of the Russian shelling, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, at least 26 people were injured, including two minors.
After the strike on Kharkiv Palace, the Russian Defence Ministry released a statement claiming that representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GID) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as "foreign mercenaries" were in the hotel. "A high-precision missile strike on the former Kharkiv Palace hotel complex destroyed representatives of the GUR and the AFU."
