Since the invasion of Ukraine began, Russia has seized strategically important facilities in all regions. Kherson airport in Chornobaivka was of great value as it had space to accommodate Russian aviation and equipment. From March to November 2022, Russian forces senselessly drove their equipment, including aviation, into the airport area. Ukrainian artillery destroyed enemy equipment. It is worth noting that shelling of nearby towns was carried out from the airport territory. In November 2022, Ukrainian troops finally cut off the Russian occupants' supply routes, forcing the Russians to retreat. Ukrainian journalists managed to get to the long-suffering airport, photos of which are attached in this article.
