Oleksiy Khabatiuk

On 4 May, Oleksiy Khabatiuk, former Deputy Head of the Energy Efficiency Department at Naftogaz, was killed in the war. He had served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since May 2022.

Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Khabatiuk was born on 19 September 1977. This year he would have turned 46.

It is known that he studied energy and thermal physics at Kyiv Polytechnic University. He started working in the renewable energy sector.

He also worked for the State Agency for Environmental Investments and headed the Environmental Investment Fund. For five years, he worked at the Energy Efficiency Department of Naftogaz.
