Russian troops are conducting chaotic shelling of Ukrainian cities. The cities that suffer the most are those near the frontline, or those located not too far from the frontline. One such town is Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. Russian troops have repeatedly launched rocket and/or artillery attacks on the city's civilian infrastructure.

Avdiivka Coke is a coke and chemical plant located in Avdiivka, Donetsk region of Ukraine; it is the largest in Europe.

The plant's enrichment plant has a capacity of 6.4 million tonnes of raw coal. Coke production is equipped with dry coke quenching units.
