The city of Kherson has been under Russian occupation since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. The Ukrainian armed forces methodically and gradually accumulated forces and struck at the Russian forces' locations in Kherson Oblast. Having cut off supply routes, the Russian occupiers found themselves without proper supplies, and the count went down to days. Eventually the Russian command decided on a "tactical retreat to the left bank of the Dnieper. However, it was clear to all that the Russian army on the right bank was abandoned and cut off from everything. The occupiers fled as best they could. They looted, stole vehicles, and changed into civilian clothes. Preliminarily, Russian troops booby-trapped all critical infrastructure, and unfortunately, blew it up. The city of Kherson and the region remains without proper power supply for at least a month, one of the main TV towers in the region was destroyed, and worth mentioning one of the main land crossings to the left bank of the Dnieper - the Antonovsky bridge. It was blown up by the Russians.
