The counter-offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has severely damaged the morale and fighting spirit of the Russian occupiers. Primarily all Russian armed formations have been forced to flee the territories of Kharkiv Region due to their inability to resist the Ukrainian soldiers. The Russians are abandoning their warehouses, equipment, everything they cannot carry away. There have also been cases of desertion and riots among the Russian troops. Meanwhile, within a week, the Ukrainian military managed to establish a foothold on the state border with Russia, de-occupy cities occupied by Russian troops, including those of serious strategic importance, and create a bridgehead for future military manoeuvres. According to the Ukrainian Defence Minister, it is in the country's interest to regain all the occupied territories of Ukraine, including the so-called LNR and DNR (Luhansk and Donetsk regions), so the offensive by the AFU will continue.
