Tyra - a Ukrainian female paramedic has been doing her duty since the Euromaidan. She helped the wounded there, then taught tactical medicine, and in 2014, when the war started in Donbass, she and the volunteer unit she created (Angela Tyra) evacuated Ukrainian soldiers from the front line. According to preliminary estimates, before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, Tyra and her team managed to rescue more than 600 people. On 16 March 2022, she was captured while taking children and women from Mariupol by bus. She was released from captivity four months later.
