A monument in the city of Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, was destroyed as a result of a strike by the Russian occupiers on the night of 6 May. According to published photos from the scene, the Russians destroyed a monument to an L-29 aircraft.

In Bakhmut, Russian troops completely destroyed the MIG-17 monument in the southwestern part of the city. In recent months, it has become one of the symbols of the resistance of the Ukrainian army in Bakhmut: the military took photos and videos in front of it to prove that the city is holding on.
