The Kakhovskaya HPP named after P.S. Neporozhny is the sixth (lower and final) stage of the Dnieper cascade of hydroelectric power plants. It is located 5 km from the town of Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region.

In its operation, Kakhovskaya HPP provided annual regulation of the Dnieper's flow to supply electricity, irrigation and water to the arid regions of southern Ukraine, and navigation from Kherson to Zaporozhye.

On 6 June 2023, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the HPP dam was blown up from the inside by Russian troops.
