Large Ukrainian cities without power due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure

Russia continues shelling Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Major cities are cutting power to make repairs as quickly as possible.

More than 40% of Ukraine's critical energy infrastructure has been damaged by Russian missiles and drone strikes. Large Ukrainian cities are turning off power for 4 to 12 hours a day to allow for faster repair and restoration work. With temperatures dropping with winter coming, this only makes life more difficult for civilians. Russia is openly claiming its involvement in the shelling.
