View DetailsRussian missile destroys gymnasium in Mykolayiv, which survived two world wars and German occupation
Russia continues to fulfil its terrorist objective No 1 - the destruction of the Ukrainian people, memorial sites and civilian infrastructure. On the night of 1 November 2022, the city came under missile attack from the S-300 system. Due to Russia's critically high level of corruption, which has prevented it from stockpiling sufficient military hardware, which Russia so boasts of, and the number of missiles already fired at peaceful cities, Russia is forced to convert its air defence systems to a ground-to-ground firing system. The use of Iranian drone strikes by Russia has also been recorded. All missile and drone weapons are being used by Russia exclusively to destroy Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and critical facilities. One of the missiles fired hit the city's oldest gymnasium, which had recently undergone a major renovation. The building posed no military threat.
