In the summer of 2022, Russian troops fired incendiary shells at a school in Avdiivka (a front-line town in the Donetsk region). A fire broke out and the building was badly damaged. In the spring of 2023, Russian troops struck the same school again, causing damage to nearby residential buildings. Russian terrorists continue to target schools, homes and hospitals.
