Russians shelled the 19th century mill of landlord Schroeder

As a result of Russian shelling in Gulyaypol, Zaporizhzhya region, a unique building - a steam mill dating back to 1894 - was subjected to destruction.

"One of the visiting cards of the locality - the building of the steam mill "Hope" of 1894 year of construction was subjected to destruction. The building is a unique example of industrial architecture and is part of the historical area of the city", - stated in the message.

It is noted that the mill was built by the merchant of the second guild Samson Saksagansky. The project and the construction itself was carried out by the famous office of Anton Erlanger. In 1908, the mill was bought by Gulyaypol industrialist and landowner David Shreder, the group said. According to them, the building has remained without significant changes all the time - it survived the times of revolution, World War II and suffered from the current war.
