The missile destroyed more than 50% of the university. The occupiers destroyed the foyer of the central building, several large lecture halls, the university's research library and museum. The monument to Skovoroda on the central square, where all the celebrations took place, was also under the rubble. It is important to add that there was a memorial hall on one of the floors in memory of the fallen ATO soldiers. The fallen soldiers for our independence were honoured here.
