Residents of the village of Lukashivka, Chernihiv region, came to bless Easter cakes on the feast of the Resurrection of Christ at the Church of the Ascension, which survived World War II but did not survive Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. During the occupation of the village, the Russian military used the building as a headquarters and a weapons and fuel depot. This church, which is an architectural monument, was destroyed at the end of March 2022.
