The Kharkiv metro has sheltered thousands of city residents fleeing Russian missiles and shells.

At the moment, the underground is the safest shelter from bombing, so the city authorities strongly recommend Kharkiv residents to flee exactly in the underground.

People have made sleeping places on platforms, steps and in underground cars. Many people took their pets, such as cats and dogs, to the underground with them.
