New stadium in Irpin damaged by Russian shelling

A newly built stadium in the young city of Irpin has suffered from Russian shelling. The pitch, bleachers and inner rooms have been damaged.

Russian occupants have shelled Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. One such facility was the Champion stadium in the city of Irpin, Kiev region. After the mortar shelling, the new pitch, stands and stadium premises were damaged. It should be noted that the stadium was built to UEFA standards and could accommodate around 1,000 fans. Following Russia's defeat in Kyiv region, journalists managed to document the destruction of the stadium, pictures of which can be seen in this article.
