Yevgeniya Emerald, call sign Jeanne d'Arc, serves as a sniper in the NPU Safari Special Operations Regiment. In February 2022, the woman left her jewellery business and two business clubs to go defend Ukraine from Russian invaders.

Ukrainian mixed martial arts fighter Eduard Kostritsa died fighting Russian occupants near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. This was reported by the National MMA Federation of Ukraine.

Yevgeny has been in Russian captivity for almost a month. This did not break him, and he continues his charitable work.
