Oleksandr Mashlai, a soldier and former editor-in-chief of the Pravyi Poshtup media outlet, was killed on 7 May in the Avdiivka sector while performing a combat mission.

Maksym Bordus, call sign Kinzhal, died during a combat mission near the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region. He was a Ukrainian kick-boxing champion.

A well-known Zaporizhzhia historian and senior researcher at the Khortytsia National Reserve, Maksym Shtatskyi, died defending Ukraine. He was 35 years old.

Maksym Kryvtsov, a Ukrainian poet, public figure, volunteer, serviceman, junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war, died. 

Mykhailo Vershinin is a Ukrainian police officer, entrepreneur, volunteer, Major of the National Police of Ukraine, and a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Knight of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III class (2022).

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Menshov was killed during a combat mission near the village of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region. 

Maksym has been fighting against the Russian occupiers since 2014. Before the war, he worked as a programmer and taught at the University of Ukraine.

Masi-Mustafa Nayem is a Ukrainian lawyer, founder of Miller Law Firm, a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a public figure, and a human rights activist.
