Roman Ratushny is a Ukrainian social activist, journalist and volunteer soldier. Participant of Euromaidan and Russian-Ukrainian war.

Journalist Oleksandr Makhov, who was serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed by Russian shelling. For many years, Oleksandr worked for Ukraina and Ukraina24 TV channels and covered events at the frontline.

The militants promised "the preservation of life and compliance with international laws on the treatment of prisoners of war". Later, the dead man's mother received a photo of her son's corpse.
