The Kharkiv metro has sheltered thousands of city residents fleeing Russian missiles and shells.
Russian troops destroyed the National Literary and Memorial Museum of Grigory Skovoroda in the village of Skovorodynivka last night during the bombardment. The fire was extinguished only at 8 a.m., 280 square meters were burned.
Among the cities hardest hit is the predominantly Russian-speaking and once rather pro-Russian Kharkiv.
