Ukrainian poet and prose writer Ihor Mysiak died in the war, defending Ukraine from Russian attackers. He was 29 years old.

Ukrainian celebrities continue to join the ranks of the Armed Forces and territorial defence. Following Taras Topol, Andriy Khlyvnyuk and rapper Yarmak, choreographer Dmytro Dikusar has joined the defence of our country.

Russian troops and mercenaries are destroying monuments on the territory of Ukraine. Two monuments in Vovchansk and Bakhmut have already been documented.

A well-known Ukrainian historian, archaeologist and local historian Yurii Kovalenko was killed in the battle for Bakhmut. Yurii is survived by his wife and two children.

On 7 May 2022, the Russian Air and Space Forces launched an airstrike on a school building where residents of Belogorovka were hiding from shelling. More than 60 people were killed. 

On 4 May, Oleksiy Khabatiuk, former Deputy Head of the Energy Efficiency Department at Naftogaz, was killed in the war. He had served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since May 2022.

Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Kherson. More than 20 people were killed and over 50 injured. 

Journalist and junior lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Mukan was killed during a combat mission in Bakhmut. This was reported by his relatives on social media.

On 28 April, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. One missile hit a multi-storey residential building. 

Russian terrorists attacked a museum building in Kupyansk with an S-300 missile. A museum employee was killed and 10 people were injured.

At night, on 27 April, Russian troops attacked Mykolaiv with Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea. One civilian was killed and 23 wounded.

Believers of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine prayed in a church destroyed by the occupiers. During the Russian occupation of 2022, the building was used for military purposes.
